Washington D.C.

Gma Bonnie, Ali, Mom, Clark, Christian, Laura
Last summer I went on a two week trip to the east coast and it was just plain awesome. This is just the D.C. part. A bunch of my cousins live near D.C. so we spent the first couple of days visiting them. We arrived in Virginia on Saturday July 11 late at night and were zonked out right away. We woke up in the morning and HUZZAHed to see all our cousins for the first time in 2 YEARS! It was wonderful. it was our first time ever seeing our twin cousins Harriet and Naomi.

Harriet
They are ADORABLE! It was so much fun to play with them, especially because they're just learning how to crawl. My cousin Summer is also such a cutie!
Summer
She's 2 years old and is learning how to talk and it is so cute when she talks 'cause you can't understand a word she's saying, it is adorable!
That evening after church we all got together at the Hudock's house and had an awesome barbecue. Delicious! After that we all drove into D.C. and saw Iwo Jima and the Lincoln Memorial.

I had no idea how big they were, especially Iwo Jima. We also stopped and played on stone lions for a bit, we had way too much fun.

The next day we rode the Metro into D.C. with two of my cousins, Eden and Anwen and saw part of the Smithsonians. We saw the Museum of Natural history (where Night at the Museum 2 was filmed), the Museum of American History and the Air and Space Museum.
Ali and the Wright brothers

My favorite one was the Natural History Museum because of all cool stuff about animals and all the huge insects that were alive. While we were in D.C. we went and saw my aunt Jenny's apartment. I loved it! Pretty much every room was painted a different color and the downstairs ceiling is really low so whenever I went down there I felt really tall. On her porch she had a little bench to sit on. It was so fun.

My aunt has an adorable little white dog named Daisy that we play with all the time.

The next day we got up at 5:30 a.m. and rode the metro into D.C. to get free same day tickets that they give out every day for the Washington Monument and the Bureau of Engraving and Printing.
Anwen, Ali

We got tickets for both and then got a tour of The Bureau of Engraving. It was really cool to see the way they made the money that we use practically every day. They have to do so many steps for it to be ready to use. When we finally left we spent the rest of the afternoon swimming and got ready to leave early the next morning.

On the first paragraph, last sentence, you didn't putt a capital on it.

Isaac

That must have been fun to visit cousins you hadn't seen in two years.
